Grace Hearth goes to France!

Dearest Friends:
It has always been our dream at Grace Hearth to travel to different hearths across the country, cooking and creating delicious and inspiring repasts from the local foodsheds at hand and cultivating relationships with an ever-widening circle of people who value land, food and community.
Earlier this summer, the universe granted our wish in a big way - we were contacted by a group in the south of France who requested our presence at their October Court Bouillon Conference!
We've been asked to present a 10-15 minute speech, TED-style, about our ethic (we're currently being coached via Skype from a stone farmhouse in Beaujolais) and also to prepare a locally-inspired lunch for 150 folks on the last day of the conference. We're currently reading lots of books by our food heros and learning all that we can about what foods are locally available in October in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region of France.
As you may know, Grace Hearth has been a labor of love and our financial resources to make this trip happen are a bit slim. The organization who invited us is helping us out in a big way with many of the travel expenses, but we do need a few more dollars to make the trip happen and we're hoping that our community can help. We're hoping to raise just what we need for this trip; future fundraising efforts are in the works.
We're hoping to raise enough to purchase one round-trip plane ticket as well as to cover basic daily incidentals for each of us while traveling for eight days.
By donating to this cause you're helping us to manifest one of our long-standing dreams and also to facilitate reinvigoration in both of our hearts for doing the work that we do. We promise to send each of our donors a postcard from France if you send us your address.
