CVFD Fire Truck

Hi everyone! As some of you may know, Cabot Volunteer Fire Department is a small department on the northern tip of Cape Breton made up with approx. 18-20 members. As a member, I witness the struggles we have daily as a volunteer department. Unfortunately, our mini pumper fire truck has officially stopped working and it is not worth the cost to try and fix it, as it is very old and unreliable at 26 years old. Our main goal is to make our department the best we can, so we can serve our community with no doubts as to whether our truck will fail during a fire call or motor vehicle extracation. The only way we can afford a down payment on a new chassis is with your help. We are planning on taking our tank off of the old pumper and putting it onto a new chassis, which will cost around $80,000 in the end, but it is cheapest way possible for us. Any amount will be an immense help to our department, and we hope to reach our goal so we can continue serving our community. Thank you for your support, we all greatly appreciate it.
