Hope For The Holidays

The holidays are fast approaching and as we know can be emotionally and financially stressful. We would like to ease some of that stress for families in need, so that they can truly enjoy their time together. Extreme Airsoft sponsored three local families last year for the holidays. We started with Fill Their Plates for Thanksgiving and followed with The Giving Tree for Christmas. We felt rather than run a food drive, that receives mostly canned and boxed goods, we wanted to provide these families with fresh food and produce wherever it was feasible. So we put a dollar denomination on food items for customers, friends and family to purchase, and welcomed donations of any denomination. We then went and purchased theses items, along with some extras, and put together 3 amazing meal baskets. We feel it was received well, as the families sent us touching thank you cards in appreciation of the community’s generosity!

This year we are aiming to do the same. We are hoping to raise $100.00 per family for Thanksgiving meals. This can be done numerous ways. Purchase a tag with a predetermined dollar amount in store, drop money in our counter jar, or donate online on our GoFundMe page. At Thanksgiving we will take the current donation amount, split it between families to purchase and assemble the food baskets. If we exceed the total of $300.00, we will take whatever is left and put it towards The Giving Tree for these same families! We will be keeping this page updated through both holidays. After Thanksgiving we will add the Christmas wish lists. Specific item tags will be on our Giving Tree located in our store. If you wish to purchase an item off the list, we kindly ask that you let us know so we can remove it from our tree. Any unclaimed items from the tree will be purchased by us with the donation money. We look forward to making the upcoming holidays a little less stressful for three local families and appreciate any support from our amazing community!
