''Culture Crew pilot project for the youth in Kenya''

Hello everyone, I am part of the team leader for the M-Tafsiri Africa Organization. We need to start a Culture Crew pilot project for the youth in Kenya in December 2022. To support our vision we need 20000 Swedish Krona for the pilot project.
Kindly I am requesting your support for our vision to be realized.
Please feel free to send your donation & like, share, & spread the message to your network.
All the work on this pilot project is voluntary. However, the funds raised will cover the basics like accommodation, food, communication, local travel, audio-visual equipment, and stationary to facilitate the creative camp training.

Why support our vision?
In 2021 I was part of the M-Tafsiri Africa team where I helped start the project Youth and Culture hand in hand for the future. It was a project where formerly vulnerable street children received music lessons in traditional music and played concerts in Ngong, Kenya.
We witnessed how the Youth and Culture project gave these young people a strong sense of dignity, strengthened their self-confidence, and helped them change their negative behavior and constructively use their culture.

The project also motivated them to channel their creativity and innovation toward entrepreneurial skills for the creative industry. We would like to take the next step and train the youth in creative entrepreneurial skills in the cultural sector. Through the "Youth and Culture project," we would like to Initiate a culture crew in Kenya.

This pilot project will test this vision before we apply for further funding. The purpose of Culture Crew is to capacitate the children and youth with organizational skills and a safe space to enable them to be decision-makers and co-organizers in the cultural industry. The hands-on skills they would engage in include: entrepreneurship, planning, budgeting, communication, basic sound technique, and hosting. In the long run, they could organize events, and host and present other artists on different platforms within the industry.
The pilot project will adapt the Nordic CultureCrew method and best practices to the conditions in Kenya. It is already planned that in December, a group of young people from our existing project and their mentors will attend a creative training camp to learn the following: teamwork and relations, effective communication, entrepreneurship, planning, and event hosting.
As a result of the creative training, these young people will organize a cultural event for the community. If the full-scale project is rolled out, our ambition is to facilitate exchange programs among culture crew beneficiaries from Kenya and the Nordic region.
All the work on this pilot project is voluntary. However, we need financial support to cover basics like accommodation, food, communication, travel, audio-visual equipment, and stationary to facilitate the training.
Once again we hope and wish that you will support our vision by donating, liking, sharing & spreading the message to your network.
