Cultural-Bridge Languages Spreading
Your donation is needed to teach the Zulu language of South Africa to people in the Caribbean.

Blessed greetings Donors,

We are asking for your donation to support this very important project “Cultural-Bridge Languages Spreading” so that people in the Caribbean can learn to speak an African language, such as the Zulu language of South Africa.

We need 15,000.00 US dollars to cover the cost of Zoom, the graphic designer, the internet technician, advertising, the purchase of tablets for the students and three computers for the teachers.

Let me give you more information about the educational project that we started on July 12, 2022 in Jamaica. The project is called “Cultural-Bridge Languages Spreading” and enables Jamaicans to learn an African language like South Africa’s Zulu language. Zulu language courses are held twice a week in Jamaica, on Wednesdays and Sundays.

People from other Caribbean countries heard about the Zulu language project and asked to be allowed to participate in the classes. That's why we're working to restart the project across the Caribbean as quickly as possible.

This is a free online course with certificate. The duration of a course can be between six months and one year. Lesson content and vocabulary lists are zoomed with each lesson and posted on the Internet where students can find the materials to study.

The teachers will be recording the participants' learning progress in writing and reviews it together with them at the end of the course. Each course ends with a certificate examination. The certificate achieved is very valuable for the participant's further occupational development.

Our main goal is to ensure that youth throughout the Caribbean expand their knowledge, cultural awareness, skills and worldview by learning other languages and gaining insight into foreign cultures, especially our ancestral African culture and languages. The “Cultural-Bridge Languages Spreading” project is not only to help our enslaved people in the Western world learn to speak African languages, but also to help ensure that the original languages of Africa do not disappear from us Africans.

One of the biggest obstacles is that many students and adults are unable to purchase a good cell phone, tablet or computer to connect to the Internet and take classes. And the “Covid-19 pandemic” has made the situation even worse, with many people still unable to earn a living today. That's why we think that the best option is to set up a projector with a screen in every school, youth education center and community center so that several people can attend classes at the same time, which we think would be of great help to these poor people, who cannot afford to buy a good mobile phone, tablet or computer to study and then pay for internet services.

The project will strengthen the relationship between Africa and the Caribbean which will help to create job opportunities for the poor people in Africa and the Caribbean. For example as an interpreter in tourism.

Your donation will be greatly blessed. Please stay in touch to get informed about the improvement.

We look forward for your support.
