Cuddle cot en memoria de Oliver

Hola! Nosotros somos Natalie y Manuel y estamos recaudando fondos para donar un Cuddle Cot al hospital de Puerto Real donde el pasado Noviembre 2020 nació nuestro hijo Oliver sin vida.

Ayúdanos a dar el regalo del tiempo, por lo poco que sea, todo suma!!! Gracias !

…No pensé que podria pasarnos algo así, quedaban solo unas semanas hasta su fecha prevista, todo estaba preparado para su llegada y ahora de repente nos encontramos en el hospital donde nos explican "los próximos pasos"

Más y más médicos entraron en la sala, todos mirando la pantalla, todos en silencio.... después de tan solo unos minutos pero que parecían horas la doctora me apretó la pierna y nos dijo las palabras más difíciles para cualquier padre escuchar, lo siento , no hay latido...

Cuando nació siempre teníamos esperanza de que se habían equivocado e íbamos a escuchar ese llanto tan esperado...nació perfecto, pero durmiendo.

Nos dejaron cogerle en brazos y estuvimos con él una hora, lo que en el momento parecía unos 5 minutos, hasta que su papá le dio su último besito de despedida. Yo seguía en la cama ya que me tenía que coser, nunca llegue a levantarme con mi hijo en brazos ... Siempre creemos que quedara más tiempo, pero siempre se acaba.

Por desgracia esto pasa más a menudo de lo que pensamos, y sigue siendo un tema tabú. No quiero que otros padres se sienten agobiados y apresurados con el tiempo que les queda con sus hijos antes de despedirse. Todos los días de mi vida deseo haber tenido más tiempo con Oliver.

Contamos con el permiso del hospital para donar un Cuddle Cot , que es una pequeña unidad de enfriamiento que se acopla a la cuna del bebé dándole a los padres y familias ese tiempo tan necesario para ayudarles con el proceso del duelo, para poder coger a sus hijos, crear recuerdos...

We didn't think that something like this could happen to us, he was due to be born in a few weeks time, everything was ready for his arrival and now suddenly we find ourselves in the hospital being told "the next steps"

More and more doctors entered the room, all staring at the screen, all in silence ... after only a few minutes but what seemed like hours the doctor squeezed my leg and said the most difficult words for any parent to hear. "I'm sorry, there is no heartbeat ..."

When he was born we always had hope that they were wrong and we were going to hear that long-awaited cry ... he was born perfect, but sleeping.

They let us hold him and we stayed with him for around an hour, which at the time seemed like 5 minutes, until his daddy gave him the final bye-bye kiss. I was still in bed since I had to have stitches, I never got the chance to hold my son standing ... "Time isn't the main thing, it's the only thing"

Unfortunately this happens more often than we think, and it's still a taboo subject. I don't want other parents to feel rushed spending the only time they will ever have with their children before they have to say goodbye. Every day of my life I wish I had had a little more time with Oliver.

We have the hospitals permission to donate a Cuddle Cot, which is a small cooling unit that attaches to the baby's crib, giving parents and families that much-needed time to help them start with the grieving process, to be able to hold their babies, create memories ...
