Everyday significant numbers of Venezuelans known as Caminantes walk into Colombia seeking food, medicine and work. The numbers represent the largest displacement of people in this hemisphere and globally second only after Syria. Most of them, women and children venture into unknown areas with little guidance and help. Once on the other side, they need water, food, basic medical necessities.
The pandemic has exacerbated the already dramatic conditions of scarcity faced by refugees. The question is where can they find help? To address this critical need a group of Venezuelan engineers have been working on an App that will point out shelter, water, food, medicine and other necessities.

Todos los días, un número significativo de venezolanos conocidos como Caminantes ingresan a Colombia en busca de alimentos, medicinas y trabajo. Las cifras representan el mayor desplazamiento de personas en este hemisferio y, a nivel mundial, sólo después de Siria. La mayoría de ellos, mujeres y niños, se aventuran en áreas desconocidas con poca orientación y ayuda. Una vez del otro lado, necesitan agua, comida, necesidades médicas básicas. La pandemia ha exacerbado las ya dramáticas condiciones de escasez que enfrentan los refugiados. La pregunta es ¿dónde pueden encontrar ayuda? Para abordar esta necesidad crítica, un grupo de ingenieros venezolanos ha estado trabajando en una aplicación que les ayudará a geolocalizar refugio, agua, alimentos, medicinas y otras necesidades en su carácter de refugiados o inmigrantes.
