Crimson Moon Fire Relief

In the late evening hours of Sunday, November 28th Crimson Moon Tavern was struck by an electrical fire which destroyed the second floor and everything it contained. Luckily Crimson Moon was closed and no one was hurt.

 

Unfortunately the damage caused by the fire and the attempts to extinguish the flames also destroyed nearly every piece of inventory and equipment inside the 2nd floor.

At the time of writing, it is still undetermined exactly where the fire started but it is believed to have begun at either an electrical sub panel behind the stage or in the ceiling near our disco ball.

 

We are continuing to work with the fire marshal, insurance company, and contractors to determine exactly what is going to be covered and the overall cost of the repairs. At this point it does not look like anything apart from the building itself may be.

 

Donald and the whole Crimson Moon family are humbled and extremely grateful to everyone who has expressed their support for New Castle Delaware's only LGBTQ+ dedicated social space and have offered donations to help with the repairs.

 

We are setting up this page not to ask for donations, but to provide the opportunity for fundraising for anyone who wish to do so. As stated above, it is still not clear how costly the repairs/replacement of equipment will be, so the goal may shift as we learn more.
