Cremation and funeral expenses for Kalfas Family

Hi, my name is Matthew Kalfas. I’ve created this go fund me in hopes to help raise money for my sister’s funeral expenses. My sister Kayla Kalfas was diagnosed with non-hodgekins lymphoma which in turn became hodgekins lymphoma. She tried every method in the book to cure this thing and this cancer was just something else outta a horror movie. After new years, I thought this would’ve been her year to beat this, but a trip to the ER for her gave all of us a wake up call. My sister passed away after struggling to breathe after seeing traumatic signs on the ct scan and having mastoiditis from the cancer, she signed a DNR, changed her mind, and they tried everything they could to help her. In the end, she tried her hardest to fight and I hope for a split second she realized that it’s okay to not fight anymore. My father is a dialysis patient so the price of cremation expenses is gonna wear on him very much. My parents are both very crippled emotionally by this whole situation. This is an attempt to raise as much as I can to help. My family has been struggling with illness our entire lives with Gardners syndrome and cancer and to watch one of my healthy siblings be torn apart by cancer was the hardest thing to watch. She fought long and hard for almost 6 years. Our family is struggling so hard right now and I know it’s a lot to ask but even a small amount helps the cause. Kayla was full of spirit and a good person and would give to anyone. She had a heart of gold, she was always like that. I really hope we can raise a certain goal here.
