Creative Advice

Creative Advice is a fundraising short film that is design to create an opportunity for youth with interests in film/acting, to be a part of a professional Indie film project. We are looking to provide kids with exposure and experience in all the aspects that come to creating a film (acting, directing, sound, editing, etc). I'm a community man, so this is a true non-profit production. A large percentage of the created funds the project will go to youth programs that I've closely worked with that assist students academically, recreationally, and most importantly mentally. While the small remaining percentage will be set aside for another project for more youth engagement.

Growing up I've always had interest in the arts. Creative expression was always an outlet for my emotions and energy to release. While students are in school they have very limited amounts of this form of therapy as general education is heavily weighted on the calculation side of learning. I can't help but notice how I am still here making attempts to dive deeper in the creative world. It is that same thought that brings me to believe that there may be another student with similar interests, and to give back I would like to open that door a bit earlier for their exposure.

Ironically the film is about RAY, a college and career advisor who is approached with an acting opportunity. He is also accompanied by one of his most trusted students, ZANE, who looks up to RAY and wants to help him to achieve greatness. RAY's dreams are about to come alive, but how will his academic responsibilities affect his path? (It's heat, is all I can tell you)

You will all find out fairly soon enough as we are looking to shoot the film early December. For all folks who can donate at least $10, they will be sent the film early before our public release.
