COVID 19: Supporting Little Free Pantries
Donation protected
The Little Free Pantry is a grassroots, crowdsourced solution to immediate and local need. Whether the need for food or need to give, the Little Free Pantry facilitates feeding neighbors and nourishing neighborhoods. It provides a helping hand for those who need it. This is accessible to the public and is sustainable. Most importantly, this structure is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which allows people to go there anonymously. My goal is to address the issue of food insecurity and unify the community by helping those in need.
After I realized that my first pantry outside of Thomas Jefferson Middle School is a tremendous success, I was determined to create more pantries throughout New Jersey. As of now, I will be creating pantries in Somerville, Manville, and Hillsborough.
The money raised will be used toward building and painting the pantry. To create a pantry that can resist harsh weather, we need quality materials, which may cost a bit more.
