Create a Safe Haven for Handicapped Children❤️

Dear Friends,

In a world filled with abundance, it is our collective responsibility to give back, to create positive change, and to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those less fortunate. Today, I invite you to join me in a journey of compassion, as we endeavor to provide a safe haven and a brighter future for neglected handicapped children in Arusha, Tanzania, through the "Cevahir Project."

Let me introduce you to the three incredible children who have inspired this project:

Norah, our little sunshine, radiates joy with her infectious laughter. At 11 years old, she attends nursery school and has displayed remarkable resilience. Norah was born with an open back, a condition that led to club feet, which required surgery two years ago. Thanks to her unwavering determination and dedicated physiotherapy, she can now walk independently. While her fine motor skills and speech may be somewhat impaired, her spirit shines brightly.

Gideon, our little pastor, has a deep love for gospel songs. His journey has been marked by incredible courage. At just one year old, he faced a life-threatening brain tumor that, when removed, left him blind. Despite this profound challenge, Gideon, now 9 years old, attends nursery school for blind children and is on a journey of independence as he learns Braille. His resilience and love for music continue to inspire those around him.

Joseph, a charming young man at 17, has just completed elementary school, with plans to start secondary school in January. His life has been marked by physical challenges, as he is paralyzed from the legs down, suffers from severe scoliosis, and faces issues with incontinence. Remarkably, Joseph can move about using crutches for short distances. He has been living with his brother, who has tirelessly pushed him to school every day in a wheelchair. However, the distance to school and the poor road conditions often made it impossible for him to attend regularly.

These remarkable children, with their unique challenges and unbreakable spirits, have touched our hearts and inspired the Cevahir Project. Our goal is to provide them and other neglected children in Arusha with a nurturing and empowering environment that allows them to flourish despite their obstacles.

I have personally contributed a six-figure sum to this noble cause. However, our journey has not been without its share of challenges. The ongoing crisis has presented unforeseen obstacles, with the cost of essential building materials doubling. As a result, our original plan to open the project in December now hangs in the balance. We are at a critical juncture, dependent on your support and further donations to ensure that these children can have a new, safe home as swiftly as possible.
