Hi, my name is CQuan Hinton and I am fundraising for myself. I have been recently exonerated from a wrongful conviction. When I was 17 yrs of age myself alone with three other individuals charged and convicted of a crime that we did not commit. I would spend the next fifteen yrs of my life behind bars. On July 28, The Michigan high court (Michigan Supreme Court) would reverse my conviction finding that the State withheld evidence that would my defense theory at trial, proving my innocence. One of the biggest and most difficult things with transitioning from prison to society is the financial adjustment. Having to find your footing financially is challenging. The last 15 yrs the state of Michigan provided everything for me food water clothing medical-care but now these mundane things are left up to me. The proceeds would not be used as a crutch but rather as a platform - a foundation to erect my life.
