Funeral for Josh's Mom

Josh needs our help.  Josh is a junior in high school, he is only 17 and has lost his Mom.  He and his Mom have been on their own for a long time, just the two of them. Last year his Mom became so ill she had to go into a nursing home. Josh ended up in a group home, but then found his sister (they have the same Dad) and she took him in.  Josh's Mom, after a year in the nursing home, recently passed away.  There was not even a relative to claim her body because Josh is underage.  There is no money to pay for a funeral.  This is where I come in.  Josh and I are distantly related, we met when he was a student in Gaudet Middle School and I noticed we had the same last name (my maiden name).  He was shy to talk about it then, and I didn't pursue it.  After his Mom went into the nursing home he started a desperate search to get himself out of the group home and while he was lucky enough to find his sister, who does a wonderful job taking care of him, he contacted me and all my siblings through facebook and we have kept in contact.  Josh has never asked us for a thing, just to know his relatives.  He is a good kid and I hope everyone can help him out.  I am hoping to raise enough money for a very nice funeral and any extra will go into a long term savings to help him in the future.
