Mitch & Michaela's IVF Fund

We are Mitch & Michaela Hanson, and this is our infertility journey. We met and started dating in 2015, got married in 2018, and began trying for Baby Hanson soon after. We live in our house with our two dogs, our 'fur babies' Danny and Nova. Mitch is finishing up his degree in Environmental Sciences through UW-Superior and working security, while Michaela is an Event Manager at a local special event venue. Together, we love to travel to new places, try new foods, spend time with family and friends, and watch football (Go Pack Go!). 

We started our fertility journey when, after two years, we were unable to conceive on our own. We first saw a fertility specialist in Duluth, MN and later again in Eau Claire, WI. After all the tests, scans, and appointments, we were ready to start fertility medication! We completed 7 rounds of fertility meds and injections with no luck.


Anyone who has gone through infertility knows it’s a hard journey, filled with the highest highs and the lowest of lows. It’s draining on all levels—emotionally, physically and financially. For us, it has been our reality over the last few years. 
Our new normal has been consumed with countless doctor visits and ultrasounds, weekly blood tests, and fertility drugs that lists more side-effects than the end credits of a Marvel movie.

After months of fertility drugs and seeing no results, we have decided (with the direction from the different fertility specialists we have sought out) that our next step is IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). Needless to say, this is a very costly process - to make things worse, it is not covered by insurance.

That’s why we’re asking you to be a part of our circle of support.
