COVID takes a life of a dad leaving 2 boys behind

In April 2021, I didn't only lose my hubby and the father of my two boys; I also lost my cousin, my friend, my lover, my biggest fan and my greatest supporter. I lost the man who used to encourage me to succeed and always treated me like a princess.
My husband, Dr. Warda was a surgeon in Egypt and naturopathic doctor in Canada who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after a 6 day battle in the ICU fighting COVID-19. Warda sadly leaves behind his wife Asmaa (Sama) and his two young boys. In 6 days, our entire lives were turned upside down. This GoFundMe was created in support of his two boys and widow, who are now left without their primary provider. Sama is currently fighting for her life against COVID-19 for the sake of her boys.
Warda was not only a kind-hearted and dedicated physician, but he was also a loving and caring husband, father, and friend. He was well known by his family, friends, and colleagues as a kind, selfless, cheerful individual who always had a smile on his face. He was always open to helping others and would never turn anyone away.
Warda had immigrated to Canada with his family in 2012, full of hope and optimism. He wanted to provide his family with a great environment to live in and an opportunity for his children to receive a better education.
Although Warda was a surgeon in Egypt, after moving to Canada, his degree was not recognized, so he switched his career and studied at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine to become a naturopathic doctor. Unfortunately, he only became licensed to practice in June 2020, during the pandemic, so he did not get the chance to practice.
We worked tirelessly to build our new life in Canada from scratch. We were alone, as we have no family living in Canada with us. We went back to school and started new careers, for which we accumulated student loans and other debts. We were optimistic that all their hard work would eventually pay off for our children.
Warda was a member of the Canadian Red Cross as his casual job while studying naturopathic medicine was first aid and BLS instructor. Warda was a regular volunteer at retirement homes, where he gave lectures for seniors about naturopathic medicine and healthy living. Sama has been working in the retirement homes industry for more than 6 years.
Warda set an example of perseverance as a surgeon and a naturopathic doctor for his sons. Both of our sons would like to follow in his footsteps and study medicine to become surgeons and save lives. Covid-19 is claiming the lives of so many people, and sadly many of them are parents of young children who need their love, care, and support. Your donations would help support our sons financially for their living costs and education costs. More importantly, the family would appreciate your emotional support.
