Covid hit home

Covid hit home, my husband tested positive for Covid on 12/26, he was sick in bed during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and for two weeks thereafter. I’ve never seen him so sick.  I was worried about all of us.  Every sneeze from the boys caused me concern.  It was hard on my husband not only because he was so sick but because he was quarantined  to our room and couldn’t touch any of us.  I could see the look in his eyes anytime he came out of the room with his mask on just how much he missed the boys.  Me and the boys slept in the living room and I took all the precautions I could while caring for him to avoid getting the virus myself.    I had to stay home from work for two weeks caring for him and our two young boys.  My employer said that I couldn’t go back to work until both of us tested negative which wasn’t until 1/7/21.  No pay was offered by them because we are a small business with less than 50 people so we don’t qualify for the CARES Act or Families First Act.  I have no vacation time or PTO because I used everything I had while on maternity leave.  My husband owns his own business and has been greatly struggling since Covid started so with the both of us being forced to be at home while he was recovering from Covid has put a financial strain on us, I’m only trying to get help to recover the money lost that I would’ve made if I was working.  This amount doesn’t even include what he would’ve normally made during those two weeks.  Anything anyone can do to help is wonderful.  We will recover and survive by the grace of God.  Thank you for taking the time to read this.
