family in need of community support

The Cook family needs community help and support could you help them? 


Why are we asking for your help?

We have moved home to be closer to family and support, but now we have hit a brick wall setting up our family home due to being hit by a double whammy first we were hit by bed bugs and now we are being hit due to universal credit cuts  and cuts to my husband's benefits due to no longer receiving DLA or carers which I am fighting the system for  meaning that now it's 10x harder to survive let alone live I don't know why the government think that we can live like this  and survive I don't understand 
I am a carer for my husband and daughter we live on a  low income we are a family of 3 with additional needs that have been hit with bed bugs. Due to the treatments, we have had to get rid of most of our soft furnishings THANKS TO YOUR SUPPORT WE ARE BED BUG-FREE :)

Due to this it has had a really bad impact on our daughter and has caused her to have a medical condition called chronic urticaria, which causes her blood vessels to burst to cause swelling and a rash this rash is very itchy she spends most of her day scratching no matter where she is and she is now under Evelina hospital for treatment for this Due to her medical condition she can NO longer have dairy in her diet this is a massive cost to us and takes a massive chunk out of our income to feed her the special diet that she needs a nice bedroom to recover from this. Due to lack of funds and as we have already replaced essential furnishings and paying for treatments for bed bugs and may still need further treatments, we now have depleted the little rainy day fund that we managed to save and we could use a helping hand to get back to an acceptable standard of living the help we would be so grateful to receive with any of the following needs this will help us massively with our mental health / well being and to improve our parenting for our primary school-aged daughter she will also have a better quality of life after these improvements have been made.

my husband has 2 shadows on his brain and grand mal epilepsy which causes him to have fits which makes him physically drained and as we don't have any flooring he is hurting himself every day when he has a seizure he also has learning difficulties and severe mental health which leads to daily difficulties with his worrying and stress about our situation has a bad impact to his seizures it makes them more frequent.


If you cannot donate but wish to help we are looking for local builders and carpenters that could help us with time/supplies for flooring please get in contact if u can help with this I can feed/do your washing in exchange for your time and help if u wish to send items as donations then also please get in contact with us.   

                                      

We are on the waiting list for social services but due to the pandemic every waiting list is long we have reached out to lots of charities and asked for help us but they have depleted their help fund pot during the pandemic, If you know me and my family this is the last thing I would be doing to ask for help but we are in dire need of help we look on free sites/apps daily, all benefits have been applied for that we are entitled to.



If I donate what is my money going to buy? 

Flooring throughout our home is our last goal for our home 

The front room floor is 18ft long and 10 ft wide  
From the stairs to the front room window is 23ft long and 3cm wide 
the kitchen floor is width 16ft 
Stairs to a hallway going downstairs is 28ft down 
downstairs hallway 200cm wide 
our bedroom floor is 16ft long and 9ft wide 

our daughter's room floor is 480cm long and 101cm wide  
toilet floor 5ft long and 70cm wide 
bath floor 4ft wide 160cm long 
fire escape 10ft 
room  next to toilet 4ft long and 80cm wide 

 Christmas presents for our daughter it is with a heavy heart to say we can not afford Christmas this year due to our benefits being cut so much,
