Coronavirus ventilator Manifold

Donation protected

I am responding to a call of action from Makersunite.co (Colorado 3D printer operators).  See the information below quoted from their website. I have a 3D printer and am able to help.

“As you’ve certainly heard by now, ventilators could be in short supply in our hospitals in a matter of days. Without a solution, our doctors could very easily find themselves in the same boat that Italy and Spain are in: Having to decide who gets a ventilator, and who dies.
Kevin Low of Gecko Robotics has designed two ventilator manifolds (splitters) that allow one ventilator to be used by two or four patients. The pulmonary team at Rose Medical has put this design to the test and given it the green light. And yes, a single ventilator is strong enough to ventilate 4 patients simultaneously. This could increase the number of ventilators we have available in the state by a factor of 4.”

The money raised will be used to buy an additional 3D printer which will double the production of ventilator manifolds, and be used to purchase the filament necessary to produce the pieces.  When new ventilator manifolds are no longer being requested, I will donate the 3-D printer to my high school robotics program! Any excess funds will be donated to Children’s Hospital.
