Corkscrew Rd, Wildcat Farms and DRGR Legal Fund

Donate to continue the fight to stop BERT HARRIS from destroying the environment and protect public safety due to the KINGSTON Development approval in east Lee County. This Bert Harris precedent if unchallenged threatens communities across the state of Florida by undermining the will of counties and municipalities to follow their own comprehensive plans, caving to development excesses. The Inner Loop Working Group and partner Responsible Growth Management Coalition are seeking IMMEDIATE funds to continue our ADVOCACY work and LITIGATION through appeal to the 2nd District Court. Stand against the +2000 acres not part of the original Bert Harris Claim named for Florida Forever acquisition, a 4-way "spine road", 700,000 sq ft shopping, hotel and 10,000 residences for an anticipated population greater than +20,000, larger than the city of Naples. This area of Lee County is protected as the DRGR, Density Reducation Groundwater Recharge, area and is an environmentally critical primary and secondary panther habitat. KINGSTON would fail levels of service on roads, damaging the rural character and livelihoods of long-standing residents and those relying on commuting, exceeding infrastructure capacity and placing people and panthers in peril.
