PawPrint Ministries Rescue Rehabilitation
Introducing Cooper:
From Rescue Dog to Comfort Dog
PawPrint Ministries has taken a leap of faith in rescuing a 2 year old golden retriever. When this sweet boy came to us he had a double ear infection, hookworm, allergies due to a poor diet, and skin irritations. His early years of life offered little socialization or obedience training. The world outside of being tied to a chain or living in a garage is an exciting new experience for him.
After a visit to the veterinarian, he is now on medication for hookworm, his ear infections, and to help with his allergies and skin irrirations. We have changed his diet to help with his coat and he is now up to date on shots. Cooper also had his first experience at the groomer to jump start his rehabilitation with a soothing bath and toenail clipping.
Cooper has begun the rehabilitation process with the Director of Training, David Dodd, at PawPrint Ministries. He is learning new skills daily from being able to walk nicely on a leash, sit, down, paws up, look, make friends, and more! Cooper is a fun loving, people pleasing, happy go lucky pup. We are excited to rehabilitate this boy and are looking forward to adding him as a future comfort dog at PawPrint Ministries.
The cost and time invovled in rehabilitiating a dog is extensive. Our training team is dedicated to treating Cooper with love and respect as we teach him about the outside world. We incorporate lots of love and affection and of course dog approved treats to help in his rehabilitation process. Please consider a donation today to help PawPrint Ministries fund the rehabilitation of Cooper. We are looking foward to soon adding him to our fleet of comfort dogs in Central Illinois. Thank YOU for supporting our mission to reach out to people in need.
