Hope for Cooper's road to health

Donation protected

On December 10, 2018 our beloved Cooper entered into a long term mental health facility in California that specializes in brain disorders.

With cutting edge technologies they are able to treat his acute medical needs at an individual level based on Neuroscience, using neuro-feedback, alpha-stim and intensive individual and group process therapies. We are already seeing results and are grateful. Tommy searched for months to find a place that was not 100% private pay for this type of care.

Cooper’s journey thus far has been one of incredible hardship. After fighting back from a life-threatening strike by a truck in the summer of 2017, that resulted in a 7-week hospitalization and subsequent months in a wheel chair, he faced more health challenges that led to this hospitalization. Please trust that the lack of details leading up to this most recent admission is in respect to his privacy while he is undergoing care.

We are so hopeful. Please pray…so many prayers have been answered already, each leading to this moment and residency, which is the most hopeful of opportunities Cooper has had in the last year and a half. It’s nothing short of a miracle that he is still with us and willing to undergo such an intensive treatment plan.

Cooper is insured through his Dads and although where he is currently accepts their insurance, it is out of network, and a huge financial burden remains in terms of supportive/staffed living, transportation, out of pocket medical expenses, and a host of other things. They are anticipating his length of stay being 8-12 months.

With great love and sacrifice, Tommy, Drew and Julie have maxed out every financial resource they currently have, and with some help from us, were able to get him in the door. But, and this is most important, they will not be able to afford, nor do they have the means, to keep him there for even the minimum amount of time recommended.

They have all humbly agreed to accept us setting up this page.

We are working with Go Fund Me to sort out a sharing issue on Facebook. You can do great service by simply doing so even if you aren't able to contribute. If you can, please check the share settings and set to 'all friends' or even 'public'. Facebook is setting the default 'specific friends' at the current time.

Please consider helping all of us in helping Cooper continue this care, he is in dire need of staying.

With many thanks and much gratitude,
