In order to prevent avoidable loss of human lives due to limited access to healthcare, this project is submitted to draw attention to a critical humanitarian and public health emergency in the Republic of Benin, specifically in the village of Ké, located in the Dangbo district.
Ké village has no healthcare facility. The nearest hospital is located more than 20 kilometers away, and access is severely hindered by the poor condition of road infrastructure. As a result, timely medical care is often impossible, particularly in emergency situations.
This lack of access has devastating consequences.
Pregnant women lose their lives during childbirth due to the absence of skilled medical assistance.
Elderly people remain without basic healthcare.
Children suffer from preventable and treatable illnesses without receiving adequate care.
These deaths are not inevitable.
They are the result of structural gaps in healthcare access.
The proposed construction of a community health dispensary aims to provide essential primary healthcare services, including maternal and child health care, basic emergency treatment, and preventive services.
