For the lost children of Ukraine

Your donations go towards frontline trauma counselling provided by us – Beyond Conflict – for mothers and children, and other aid and support provided by The Ukrainian Welcome Centre, London.

A unique fundraising concert was held on Armistice Day at The Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, London, in memory of the children who have died in Ukraine since the invasion in February 2022.

All donations contribute to our fundraising for displaced and traumatised families of Ukraine. Your money will make a difference to vulnerable children, women and elderly refugees who have fled the brutal war in Ukraine. Thank you.

"The Cry: A Requiem for the Lost Child" by Adrian Snell was conducted by Nicholas Chalmers and sung both touchingly and vibrantly with hope for peace, by the London Oriana Choir, Alleyn’s School Choir and soprano Katy Treharne, with Nikita Vikhorev (Violin), Sabrina Handreck, Nick Hawarth, Jim Pollard and David Smith (keyboards). The programme began with Ukrainian songs, performed stoically yet delicately by the quartet Vivo.

The choirs' performances were accompanied by readings and candle lighting in memory of named children and babies, with poignant vignettes of just a few of the short lives that were ended abruptly.

The concert was attended by Ukrainian refugee families invited as our special guests, Ambassadors from six embassies and religious leaders across many faiths, led by the Rt Revd Kenneth Nowakowski, Ukrainian Eparchial Bishop of the Holy Family Eparchy in London.
