Community support for Monica Cosby

This is a call to support a community member, advocate and leader who is facing an imminent housing challenge due to the crisis and shift in income. Monica had to move for personal reasons in March and was able to find an apartment on short notice and amidst the crisis.  However, as her many speaking engagements have all been cancelled for the foreseeable future, she is in a particularly tight spot.

These funds will go directly towards past and current rent payments so that Monica can stay in her current home which is paramount to her health and safety. We ask that this not be circulated through social media but if you know folks who know and care for Monica or would be interested in supporting a community member please do share with them directly.

Monica supports so many people across the city and so many of us have been witness to her brilliance. She was reticent about seeking help as she is so accustomed to giving herself to others. This is one way for us to give back to someone who so consistently gives of herself to coalition building, support, aid and healing.
