Help us, Help them. Community Kitchen

Hi, my name is Simon; I am fundraising so our family can help open a Community Kitchen in the city of La Unión, Huánuco, Perú.

Whilst living in Perú, we saw first-hand the poverty and poor living conditions.

It is here where the idea to open a Community Kitchen was established. Over the past few years, we have spent considerable time praying, deciding and planning what to do and where to go. We genuinely believe this Community Kitchen can make a difference in helping these people.

This is why we are moving back to Peru in May 2023 to commence the Community Kitchen project.

Our vision is to help those with little to no means of supporting themselves by providing free meals to lighten the burden of everyday living.

We will also be talking to local government and charities to find out how they can be involved in the project to support the community.

The kitchen will initially run with the help of local volunteers, and we plan to engage growers, farmers and producers from the area.

To get the kitchen up and running, we are looking to raise the amount of $30000.00

All fund raised goes to support the Community Kitchen.

We know times are hard for everyone right now, so if you can't afford to donate, please share our appeal on your social media because no one should have to go hungry.

Once the Community Kitchen is up and running we will also be looking at other ways we can help.
