Community Cleanup Crew Startup

Aloha! As we prepare for our first monthly cleanup, the West Hawaii Community Cleanup Crew is graciously accepting donations from the community to gather the resources needed for a successful cleanup campaign! Our goal is to organize a garbage pickup day on the first Saturday of each month, on roadways, coastal areas, and illegal dumping sites, in which community members are invited to participate in garbage pickup, large dumped item removal, and positive message "no dumping" sign making... a little fun for everyone! We need funding for the following items; a set of 10 walkie-talkies (so coordinators can maintain communication and safety with all pickup teams), a first aid kit, a consistent stock of gloves and masks, 2 hazmat suits for dangerous/biological hazard material removal, 2 beverage coolers, and finally a ready cash fund for disposal fees for large items such as appliances and vehicle parts. No donated monies will be used for any purpose but those listed here. Mahalo for supporting this Clean Big Island Initiative!
