Community Christmas Food Boxes

Hey everyone. The church I serve, South Park Presbyterian Church in Rock Island, Illinois, has made it a part of our DNA to do our part to ensure we feed the hungry. We used to do in person meals, but COVID ended that. INstead we have been doing 4 person Meal Bag handouts each month. We have decided to step our game up for our COVID Christmas.

We have committed ourselves to providing a box that holds as much food as possible for $25 for anyone that wants one. (Depending one what ends up in there, this could be up to a week of food for a family.)

We have committed ourselves to providing the first 25 boxes but have a goal of making 100 or more. That's where you come in.

We are looking for donations big and small to get us to our goal of 2500 dollars or more to cover these 100+ boxes of food.

We will distribute on December the 20th, so we need to act fast.

I would also ask that you send a filled out Christmas card, for a family who will receive one of these boxes, tot he church at 1501 30th Street, Rock Island, IL, 61201.

Times are tough and getting tougher and I am proud to pastor a church that is trying to tackle the problem of hunger head on. Please join us!
