Help support Raziq after a stroke and restore his computer so he can work from home during recovery

Hi, friends of Raziq! This is Erin, Patrick, Marisol, Christina, and Jeff, and we want to invite you to offer support during a very difficult season for our dear friend, who has suffered a stroke recently, affecting his ability to work. Raziq reluctantly said yes to this GoFundMe, and we hope you’ll join us in surrounding him with love and support of community.

You can contribute here to help with Raziq’s monthly expenses ($740 total includes medical, food, gas, internet/phone, electric, and water) and you can contribute to his computer parts wish to help him work from home during stroke recovery. Thank you very much for considering and offering support!

“My desktop computer broke down while I’m recovering from a stroke. Instead of buying a new computer, I’m hoping to repair and upgrade the equipment I already have, preserving the valuable parts that still work.

“With limited use of my right arm, a working desktop would allow me to use voice dictation and accessibility tools to take on manageable projects from home. These projects include social media, graphic design, animation, video editing, and creative work for restaurants, schools, and nonprofits—including organizations in Sierra Leone and East Fort Worth Montessori Academy. I also hope to take on small online contract projects.

“Another service I plan to offer is preserving people’s home movies and archival footage from MiniDV camcorder tapes. Restoring the computer would let me deliver recordings on USB drives or through private cloud downloads. Comparable services commonly charge around 20–30 per tape, making this a practical opportunity to earn income through manageable projects while helping people preserve important memories.

“Every contribution brings the rebuild closer and reduces what I need to cover myself. Helping restore this equipment supports my ability to earn income, contribute to worthy organizations, and sustain myself during recovery.

“Eligible equipment gifts made to KIRIYO Studios LLC, an active 501(c)(3) nonprofit, can receive a charitable donation acknowledgment for tax records.”
