Community Baby Gift for Monica

Dear community, I have organized this fundraiser for Monica as she will shortly be giving birth to her and Clark's beautiful rainbow baby.  I, together with her dear friends and loved ones, really want Monica to have everything she needs and wants for this baby and want to be sure that her bills & expenses before, during and after the delivery of her precious baby are covered. Monica is a Boston-based activist who is always there for the community and now it's time for the community to come together for Monica. Let's help make this a supported and loving process for her as she gets ready to welcome her miracle baby. There are few more important times for a community to gather their support for a family than in welcoming a new member! Monica needs us now more than ever.

For those of you who don’t know Monica, she’s a Boston activist who is currently 8 months pregnant. She’s a Black mother who lives in Boston and has a high risk pregnancy. She really wants a Doula to help her before, during and after the birth and needs some help to pay some of her bills & expenses before & after she gives birth. She’s extremely active in racial justice/social justice and was one of the main organizers of the Fight Supremacy March in Boston. She’s very active in her community which includes running a fuel program for food-insecure BPS students, organizing disaster relief aid on many occasions and has a radio talk show about racial justice in Boston, speaking up for communities of color. She also runs a non-profit called Violence in Boston. This is a very brief and incomplete picture of this amazing woman. The bottom line is that I’m hoping our community out there will help Monica during this time in her life just as she has always shown up for us.
