Keep Commonwealth Cudas Swimming

For more than 45 summers Commonwealth Swim Club has been the place where scores of kids learned to swim, life-long friendships were formed, and families in the Kings Park West neighborhood found a welcoming place to spend lazy summer days. You can see one family's story here. 

Now, Commonwealth needs your help. Our pool was hit with a catastrophic plumbing issue and other maintenance problems last summer. Coupled with changing demographics resulting in smaller membership, we find our pool struggling to stay open.

To keep our pool open, we need $12,000 to cover plumbing and maintenance repairs and an additional $3,000 to pay off costs from fixes to our sewer last year. We would also like to raise an extra $5,000 to have ready for any repairs and updates during next summer.  This will allow us to keep the pool open in the short term, while we develop long-term strategies to guarantee the longevity of our pool.
