Escambia County Florida has a long history of corruption and graft.  I ran for office to reform the county, not to "play ball" with the Good Old Boys.  As a result I have been sued twice by the Commissioner I defeated, once by the Bus Drivers' Union, once by the owner of the toxic Rolling Hills landfill, and now I am being sued by the largest campaign donor in the county, the Bear Family.  Every lawsuit has been thrown out by the judge.  It is clear to anyone familiar with the law that these people are abusing the legal system because they cannot tolerate a politician they cannot control.

While the County is required by law to pay these fees, the Commissioners who are bankrolled by the Bear Family refuse to do their duties.

These "serial lawsuits" are a coordinated effort to strangle political dissent and prevent the reforms the citizens clearly want.

 If good men can be sued into poverty for speaking against corrupt men, only the corrupt will be represented in government.

That is not the America I have  fought for, and that is not who we are as a County or as a Country.  I promise to never stop speaking truth and reforming the corruption and graft, but I need your help to withstand the attacks. I knew what I was getting into when I stood up, and I can take all the punches they can throw.  But the financial burden on the family is growing heavy, and will only grow heavier the more desperate these people become.
