Come Together 2022
Come Together with an all-star lineup of performers to raise money and awareness for No Place for Hate®, an initiative that helps kids stand up to prejudice and know that everyone is welcome in our communities. This year's sixth annual event kicked off with a webcast on April 10, and it culminated with an in-person concert at the Charles A. Brown Ice House in Bethlehem, PA, on April 29.
UPDATE, May 6: Thanks so much to everyone who joined us for the Ice House concert! And even if you missed it, you can still enjoy the show: Everyone who donates at least $5 here by May 15 will get a link to watch a video of the performance.
The concert opened with an amazing appearance by the Great Djembe Jam, and it continued with spontaneous collaborations from top-notch musicians from Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley from different backgrounds and musical styles, all joining in on each other's songs. The performers were:
· Bev "BC" Conklin of The BC Combo and BC Blue
· Dave Fry
· Kim Edwards
· Moe Jerant of The Large Flowerheads and the LV Drum Circle
· Claudia Terry of Claudia & Liliana
· and Not For Coltrane (Michael Duck)
In addition, Dr. Jack Silva, Bethlehem Area School District's assistant superintendent and chief academic officer, joined us to talk about how No Place for Hate® is used in Bethlehem schools.
Also, check out our appearance on the Lehigh Valley with Love podcast previewing the Ice House show, and enjoy these additional videos contributed by other performers:
· "When Death Comes a Knocking," by Dana Gaynor
· "You've Got a Friend," performed by Claudia & Liliana
· "Everything Hurts," by ilyAIMY
And of course you can still watch the replay from our April 10 webcast, featuring live performances by musicians from across the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Featuring great music from:
· Special surprise guest Crys Matthews!
· Jillian Matundan
· Warren Snead of The Stray Seeds, Copper Fields, Chasing Daylight, and more
