Lorene McLaughlin and Kevin
Donation protected
If you went to Farmington High School between the early 80s and the late ’90s, you probably were fortunate enough to have McZ or Mr. Z as your PE or math teacher or maybe as your coach for one of many teams McZ led during her tenure.
Maybe you were one of their colleagues, acquaintances and friends and simply knew them as Lorene and Kevin. Whatever your connection is, I’m sure it was a positive one. They both were well respected in the Farmington High School community and beyond and have made a lasting impact in many of our lives.
Kevin was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and Lorene has been steadfast by his side. This journey has been difficult, and they continue to face many challenges and frustrations. When we see or hear about people, we love and admire struggling, we want to do whatever is possible to help lessen the burden and relieve some of the stress and anxiety of the situation.
Most of us are not close enough to physically help, but all of us can offer help through either prayer and/or financial means.
We are putting together a GoFundMe for Lorene and Kevin to help with the day-to-day task of caring for someone dealing with cancer and taking care of the house and property. With the donations, we hope to be able to cover the cost of a cleaning service, lawn care and/or snow removal, help with medical expenses, or whatever they feel would provide them the most help.
It takes a community & FHS Alumni to make things like this happen for the people that really truly need it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
