Martin & Valerie's 11-year-old daughter Marina has been diagnosed with P-ANCA Vasculitis, which is an auto immune disease that is attacking her kidneys. There is no cure for her disease and Marina is currently going through a treatment called plasmapheresis. This treatment removes blood from the body separating it into plasma and cells, transfusing the cells back into the bloodstream in hopes of removing the bad antibodies.
Since Marina's initial hospitalization in late January, she has been admitted two more times. It wasn't until Marina was admitted in early March that it was discovered she was suffering from kidney failure due to her chronic vasculitis disorder. There is no set date when Marina will be released from the hospital.
Marina's medical bills and daily expenses continue to rise as both Martin & Valerie spend their days by her side. Marina's father, Martin is the sole provider for their family. Therefore any and all assistance is appreciated.
The Lopez Family-Martin, Valerie, Martin Jr. & Maya appreciate all the thoughts, prayers and generosity.
We love you Marina!
