Before we go into our story about our infertility struggles we want everyone to know this is very hard asking for help.  It is very hard for us to ask for money but in our situation we feel there is no other option at this point.

Preston and I have been married for 4 years this September.  We have always known that we wanted to have children and decided that we didn't want to wait a year into our marriage to start trying to make this happen.  After a year of no success and doing it on our own we knew something wasn't right.

Once we were stationed in Lemoore, California we set up an appointment with an OBGYN on base who dealt with some cases of infertility.  Preston had to go and get himself tested to see if he had any infertility issues before I did.  His tests came back normal and he was not the cause of our infertility issues.  I won't go into every detail of all of my doctor visits because I could write a book at this point.  I will post a link at the end of this and you can read up about each appointment and each detailed step from our blog that we have.

After finding out that Preston was not the person with infertility I began my very long road of appointments, medications, tests, and surgeries to "help" fix my infertility issues.  In all I have been on two different kinds of fertility medications with out any success.  The only thing that I got from those medications were some very painful cysts.  One of those rounds of medications led me to have a surgery because of the size of the cysts that I developed.  During that surgery my doctor diagnosed me with stage 3 endometriosis and I also had a septum in my uterus.  During the surgery my doctor was able to remove my cysts and the endometriosis.

At this point my doctor could not do anything more for me here on base and I was sent out in town to see a specialist due to the fact he could not preform a septum removal surgery on base.  I was sent to a specialist in Fresno who has been an amazing doctor and really cares about his patients.  He was able to remove my septum in a second surgery.  After recovery we did 4 rounds of IUI that were not successful and very expensive.  Tricare is a wonderful insurance if you are not dealing with infertility.

We were referred to yet another doctor in Clovis because the infertility center is not able to do anything more for us.  We are now at the point where IVF is the next and only step for us in order for us to hopefully achieve our goal of becoming parents.  Unfortunately Tricare does not cover anything from here on out.  Our last doctor visit just for a consultation was $130.

Like we stated above it is very hard for us to ask for help but we are now at a standstill with our fiancees.  If you are able to donate any amount at all it would be beyond amazing.  I know the amount we are asking for is very high but that amount will pay for the whole procedure and doctor visits.
