Family of CMPD Officer Joshua Eyer - End of Watch

Donation protected
CMPD Officer Joshua Eyer has passed away from his injuries after being shot in the line of duty while assisting other officers with the apprehension of a suspect. He is survived by his wife and three-year-old son. Every dollar of this GoFundMe will go to them.

Officer Eyer faithfully served the CMPD’s North Tryon Division for six years and was a member of the 178th Recruit Class.

We are forever indebted to Officer Eyer for his bravery and ultimate sacrifice. His life and service will never be forgotten. Please say a prayer for Officer Eyer’s loved ones during this difficult time.

Today was the kind of gut punch that is almost too much to think about. Several of our brave protectors won’t be going home.

I’m angry, but there will be time to channel that anger into action. For now we must support the the family of Officer Eyer. Please consider giving.

Additionally, we are 2 weeks away from police week, an while it is always a somber and moving time, this one will be at a different level, and we must all come together and take part in some way. Below is a link to sign up for your preferred CMPD division location and commit to 'adopting a cop' during Police Week, sending them messages of support and love.
