Close to normal life again.

My 2 yr old became sick with what the doctors called a stomach virus. Things got worse so we decided to check his blood sugar after I read an article. It was 559. We rushed him to the nearest children's hospital where we were told my baby was in DKA, and had type 1 diabetes (T1D). If you don't know what this is it's not as if he's over weight (he's a perfect weight for age and height) or eats sugar (he actually hates sweets) but his body doesn't work normally anymore. Not due to anything he did or my husband and I. (Doesn't stop us blaming ourselfs) but now instead of us chasing our toddler around to stop him from spitting up his milk or playing in dog water. We are holding him down while collecting blood to test or giving him his life saving insulin. Stopping him from feeding his best friend some of his food because we've already weighted out the carbs and don't know how much he ate and how much the dog ate. We've looked into a few different ways of giving him back a more normal life and the best we've found is the TSlim X2 pump and Dexcom CGM G6 this monitors him day and night. Reports to our phones so I know he's safe, delivers needed insulin when high and stops it when needed.  One poke every 10 days! Problem is we have to reach the deductible of 5000 for our insurance to kick in.... we don't have that kind of money, we did the math and as soon as we get close, the new year will start and reset our deductible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Prayers are also most welcomed. Thank you for reading this.
