Clinton St. Clean Up | Johnstown PA

Donation protected
Flood City Café plans to “adopt” Clinton Street to make some cosmetic and landscaping changes to the street, with the intention of making it feel more welcoming and commerce-friendly. We plan to accomplish this overall goal with help from volunteers, partnerships with area businesses and organizations, and donations from anyone who loves the city of Johnstown.

This event will take place Saturday, April 30th 2016, from 10am-2pm, on Clinton St., in historic Downtown, Johnstown.

How We Will Accomplish The Goals:

We plan to accomplish the goals of the Clinton St. Clean Up project by using the following approach:

·   Partnerships: We want to partner with as many local businesses and organizations as possible. We will seek financial assistance and relevant trade expertise from local people.

·   Volunteers:  We will seek as many volunteers as possible to complete the work. We will organize people according to their skills and equip people to help complete the goals.

·   Donations: We will need donations of funds, supplies, time and knowledge to complete these projects.

Aimed Outcome of Project:
We hope that this project will make our slice of the city feel safer, encouraged, and positive to its residents and visitors.

Additionally, we hope that the Clinton St. Clean Up idea will be a catalyst for change on other streets in other Johnstown neighborhoods. Our hope is that other businesses will be able use our resources and documented experiences to make their own “street adoption” successful.

We believe that if we can spark a movement throughout the entire city, the downtown area will see a positive economic impact in the next few years.  We believe in Johnstown!
