Claire's fight against metastatic breast cancer

Claire is an intensive care nurse, currently working in the ICU at one of Sydneys biggest hospitals. She lives in western Sydney with her wonderful husband Mario and their beautiful eight year old daughter Ruby. Claire has devoted most of her working life caring for others and is very loved by her patients and colleagues.
Unfortunately, in 2016 Claire was diagnosed with breast cancer. Following surgery, chemotherapy and radiation she was able to go into remission. However towards the end of 2020 Claire had a resurgence of her cancer and has now been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, which has spread to her lymph nodes, liver, bones, skull and now lungs, which necessitates further ongoing treatment.
Due to financial hardship, Claire has been continuing to work full time in the intensive care unit, whilst also attending many specialist appointments, radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Claire has also been dealing with pain from pathological spine fractures and severe nausea and vomiting from her treatments. Shortly, Claire is to embark on five months of chemotherapy, and during this time, it is unlikely that she will be able to continue to work at all. The added financial stress on the family will only cause more worry and stress, which will consequently affect her well-being and quality of life.
Claire has pushed herself to undergo further radiation and chemotherapy treatment, so that it might give her more time with her devoted Husband, and much loved daughter Ruby. Claire knows that her time is limited so we ask if people are able to help financially, please donate whatever you can- every dollar will make a difference!
