Thank you for taking the time to open our page and read our story. Life has dealt us plenty of humbling experiences, this being one of them.
My husband, Nick and I have been trying for four years now to have a baby. I have a pretty severe case of poly-cystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS) {Always bad when you "impress" a specialist!} I knew from the start that growing a family might be difficult, so I made sure to warn Nick before we were ever engaged. He chose to love me anyway, so trusting in God's plan for our future, he married me! God has blessed our lives in many ways over these four years, and challenged us plenty along the way. As you see in our photo: we have two fur-babies. Chief is our american bulldog and Hank is our beagle/blue heeler. We enjoy our boys but are so ready to expand our family with children.
We have been through every aspect of infertility treatments; including surgeries on my very stubborn ovaries. With each new step closer to our dreams comes an increased financial burden. We are now going through IVF treatments which the doctors have positive hopes of working. The medications alone cost thousands of dollars and it adds up quickly.
I am pleased to report that the treatments are beginning to work and will hopefully produce the answer to our prayers: A family of our own that we can raise in a loving christian home. Both Nick and I feel that God has given us this desire to be parents and a promise to fulfill that desire, be it our own child or adoption.
Psalm 37:4 "Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."
Psalm 20:4 "May He grant your heart's desire and make all your plans succeed."
Unfortunately, the financial burden has taken its toll. Not only on our savings, but the stress that comes along with it. We have had extra expenses this year as well, since Nick has had to undergo a hietal hernia repair surgery. We are blessed that he is recovering well and finally healed. God is good!
