As more heavy rain is forecast in Afghanistan, where more than 120,000 people have been affected by flash floods and landslides, Sada e Jawanan has always helped other organisations in raising funds, this is the first time we are getting involved in emergency appeal directly.

Homes and livelihoods have been destroyed. More than 160 people have died. And the devastation wreaked by the rains is expected to continue

When the floodwaters recede, we want to work with affected communities to repair damaged homes, bridges, wells and other infrastructure – and restore livelihoods. In addition, we want to empower communities that are now experiencing flooding every year to reduce the impact of future disasters.
