I am starting this fund for many reasons. In a way you will be helping me help my sister receive the greatest gift of motherhood. Since our early childhood she has been my biggest supporter, my number one fan. Kirsten, my big sister, would do anything to make sure I was happy and taken care of. She would literally go broke making sure I have the things that I need. I want so badly to help her financially as her and Dustin are struggling with fertility. I asked for their blessing to share their story. Because the truth is when she needs me the most, I am not able to financially help as much as I truly desire.
Their Story— ( I asked Kirsten to share some key points of their journey and so I share them with you.) Kirsten—“From a young age I knew I was destined to be a mother…picturing all the little moments I would one-day share with my child. Anyone who knows me knows how much I have always loved kids…deeply and wholly I cherish those little people. When I met Dustin I was so excited because among many amazing qualities I saw in him...I saw amazing father. In the deepest part of my soul I feel part of my purpose here in earth is to be a mother. I believe that God has given me that desire and given me a husband who shares the same desire. Now we are sitting here listening to the doctors say that our chance of ever having kids is merely 2%. After a year of trying we decided it was time to get some guidance and that’s when we got the news. We now have been through 2 failed attempts of IUI, one being a very early miscarriage. Our Doctor feels our only option now is to move forward with IVF. It is overwhelming to think that the one thing we want the most is now going to cost us $28,000. We have a beautiful life and we are already blessed beyond measure, but we simply don’t have the funds to do this on our own. At the end of the day all we can do is trust God and rest in his promises. His plan for us may not make sense, and it surely is heartbreaking at times, but He is a good and perfect God who gives us comfort in our times of trouble.”
