Cindy Styers is a long-time personal friend of mine. She has one teenage son and three grandchildren at home.
She contracted Legionnaire's disease while staying with her dying husband at the hospital. He passed away three years ago.
Cindy has a daughter on drugs who stole her identity and racked up bills she can't pay. (Daughter, "mother" of the 3 grandchildren Cindy has custody of, is in jail.) So Cindy now has an $800 electric bill on a house she's never lived in - but daughter did and forged Cindy's name on the utilities! They (Cindy and 4 children) are currently staying in a house with 12 other relatives because the electricity at her mobile home was shut off because of her daughter's bill. She can't afford medicine she needs to stay alive. Lot rent is two months past due and she may lose her paid for home to back lot rent. All food in her mobile home has been ruined.
Please help her get back into her home and get back on her medication. She needs a stable home for the children.
She receives $600 per month to support her family of 5 on. No food stamps, no medical insurance except on the three grandchildren who are in the foster care system.
The grandchildren's dad should be in jail for non-payment of child support - but he isn't. That income, even though Cindy doesn't get it, is why she can't get foodstamps.
This is a dire situation.
