Chuy's fight

Jesus noticed a bump on his chest a couple of weeks ago, he went to express care and they initially thought it was a cyst. They sent him home with an ultrasound scheduled. On Friday, September 1st Jesus started having intense chest pain. He went to the ER and they did a full workup. Unfortunately, the scans showed that Jesus had a large mass in his chest that was compressing against a major vein in his heart and blood vessels. He was rushed to OSF in Peoria and was diagnosed with Primary mediastinal b-cell lymphoma. Although we have a diagnosis it is going to be a rough couple of months. Jesus has to receive chemo over the next 6 months every 3 weeks for four days which requires him to be hospitalized during the treatment. Because of the chemo, Jesus is not able to work. Jesus is a strong young man. He is a new dad with a 3-month-old baby boy at home that he’s excited to watch grow up. If you know Jesus, you know he loves anything to do with boxing, and right now he is fighting a different fight. We’re asking you to help him and his family fight this in whatever way you can.
