My name is Giacomo Biscotti and my daughter, Christy Boyd (also known as Cadle or Edmonds), was diagnosed with cancer over 8 years ago. She has a beautiful daughter, Ellie, and married her husband, Nick, about 4 years ago. Now to the story. When Christy was diagnosed she was determined to fight and fight she has. I do not know a stronger person or one that even after enduring all this for over 8 years still finds time to give to others. After her breast cancer diagnosis, she dealt with the usual fear and figuring out was was next. What was next was a full round of chemo, double Mastectomy and everything that goes along with chemo. Loss of hair (she has beutiful hair), loss of energy, etc. Through it all, she has found time to be the best Mom to Ellie, my grandaughter. When treatment ended we found out that she was now in remission. After 5 years, she was then considered cancer fre!! About that time, she began having hip pains. When she went to the doctor, she found that the cancer had Metastasized to her hip. First time I had ever heard of someone having breast cancer in her hip. So, back to the doctors she goes and then ends up having hip replacement surgery in her early-mid 30s to remove and hopefully end the cancer. It was then that she found out it had invaded her liver. Now, Christy is brilliant and a researcher, so she began to research. She had been moved to an experimental medicine and also began to do a full blown Keto diet with many dietary supplements. She added intermittent fasting (sometimes up to 5 days-did I mention her strength?). We found that hyperbaric chambers may help the fight so we got a prescription and purchased a chamber for her. We also used the most important thing, prayer. Now using all these things together for a year or more, her numbers moved down to normal healthy levels. It was working!! We were blessed and our prayers were being answered. However, in the last two months, the numbers have taken a turn for the worse. Her chemo will be starting again this week (the week of 8 May 2023). I am not one to ask but her bills have piled up over the years as you can imagine. She has been fighting this fight for over 8 years now and, as I said earlier, she is still the strongest person I know. She doesn't hang her head, doesn't complain, never asks why me, she is there for her daughter and husband, she has energy that she shouldn't have and she never asks for help. That is why I'm here, to ask for help for her becasue she won't do it. If you could find it in your heart to give even a dollar, it would help. We will continue to fight with her and she will beat this. We can't look at it any other way. We look to God every minute of every day and we know He is with her. Please join with her in helping fight this awful disease. If there is one thing we can all agree on, I think that thing is, "Cancer sucks." Thank you for taking the time to read this.
