Funeral Expenses for Christopher Wayne Fortin

Christopher Wayne Fortin, was unexpectedly killed on 7/25/2023 by Terre Haute Police Department Officers. Due to Christopher’s mental illness he choose what he thought was an abandoned building to sleep, workers had gotten there in the early morning and Christopher wasn’t in his right mind due to his mental illness and not taking his medicine, Which then led to Terre Haute Police Department, SRT team, and negotiators to be called. They tried to contact Christopher for 2 hours, with no response. Christopher exited the building, officers shot at Christopher several times. Christopher was then taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries that are unknown at this time until the police investigation is completed. His family just wants to give him the proper service, our only options at this time since it has been past the time allowed for a showing is to have him cremated, and to have a celebration of life.
