Christmas for Children in Direct Provision Kildare

More than 50 children live in Direct Provision in Kildare. Their parents receive a weekly allowance of €29.80 per child. With so little spending money, these families simply can't buy many gifts for their kids this Christmas.
We want to help.
We hope to raise €50 for each child in Direct Provision in Newbridge and Monasterevin. We'll buy gift cards, not toys, so that parents can buy the presents. What seems normal to us -- buying a gift for a child -- is rare and precious to families living in Direct Provision. For the children, it's a chance to get the present they ask for, not the present that someone else picked for them.
