Christa & Krassy's Forest Fairy Tale

It is my life’s mission to rescue as many animals as possible and this ambitious journey starts with Krassy. I can’t even call this a charity, because it literally is a hand full of people scrambling for the survival of these animals. Krassy's Forest, is quite literally..a forest... located in a remote village in the heart of Bulgaria, populated with over 400 homeless animals. Approximately 300 dogs, 100 cats, and several horses and donkeys. These animals did not end up there by accident. Krassy, one of the most caring and selfless souls I have the pleasure of knowing has dedicated her entire being to rescuing stray animals from the harsh streets of Bulgaria. Anything you could donate would have a remarkable impact for the cause.

Krassy lives in what can best be described as a shack with no electricity, local water, or any basic necessities, including food, clothing, heating, or any kind of sanitary needs. Even while living in destitution, she has taken on the care of these animals because without her they wouldn't stand a chance. Bulgaria has quite a primitive perspective on animals; consequently, many look down on her, and have shunned her from society for making such a ‘fuss’ about a ‘worthless’ cause. It is up to me and my dad to try to raise funds to help keep these animals alive.

As generous as the vets have been, If we do not pay off the vet bills, they will no longer provide their services (which are already at a discounted price). We are not trying to grow the rescue, we are merely trying to survive.

Many organizations/sanctuaries/animal centers as fortunate enough to receive government funding, staff, and volunteers - and even then they would find great difficulty in sustaining 400+ animals, yet we have no choice because if not, these animals would starve, freeze, or be killed within a matter of days.

In the pictures below you can see my dad carrying large buckets and bottles of water, these have to be carried by hand and foot from a water-well downtown as we have no car and no access to water on site. THIS IS HOW WE GIOVE THE DOGS WATER. Any money raised will go to paying of vet bills, paying for medication, food, and shelter for the animals.
