Chris' Story

I’m ‘All in’ in memory of my maternal grandfather, Davis Bruce Rowe, who passed due to Alzheimer’s in 2007. Being a UT grad who fundraises for disease research/awareness while participating in endurance events, I couldn’t ask for a more perfect fit than Pedal for Pat. I’m convinced that every dollar raised is getting one step closer to a cure. One of the dollars raised for 2023 Pedal for Alzheimer’s may be the one that provides that breakthrough.

Chris has combined his passion for endurance events with fundraising for research advances and awareness in breast cancer (Team Edith), prostate cancer (Team Zero), leukemia/lymphoma (TNT), and Alzheimer's (Pedal for Alzheimer’s) while participating in numerous marathons, half marathons, and Ironman events.

More information about Pedal for Alzheimer's Ltd: Pedal for Alzheimer's is a 501c3 non-profit platform committed to organizing cycling events to raise money, create awareness, and provide education toward the mission of finding a cure for Alzheimer's. Pedal for Alzheimer's, originally known as "Pedal for Pat," was co-founded in 2017 by Josh Crisp and Michelle Brooke-Marciniak. The 1,098-mile cycling event was created to honor the legacy of the late University of Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt who died of Alzheimer's in 2016.
